Orange are through the final of the Western Zone Cup competition following their 5 wicket win over Bathurst on Sunday.

Bathurst won the toss and elected to bat first, but our opening bowlers Hayden Griffith and Tom Blowes kept a lid on the scoring rate early, with Blowes removing both openers to have Bathurst in early trouble. Bathurst didn’t really ever recover from there as they struggled to 68 all out in the 36th over. Blowes finished with 2/20 from his 10 overs, but it was first change bowler, Aditya Adey who did most of the damage, with 5/6 from his 7 overs. Rory Daburger, Lawson Hamling and Toby Middleton each picked up a wicket.

Orange then set about scoring the required runs for victory, losing 5 wickets along the way, but achieving the target inside 10 overs. Oli Jarick made 16, as did Tom Blowes and Rory Daburger, who were both at the crease when the winning runs were scored.

Orange will now host Lachlan in the final to be played 2 March at Riawena Oval.
